Day 263: March 16, 2013

For AmeriCorps, I had the opportunity to Paint a School. It was pretty fun, and WAY more exhausting than i thought it would be. Also finally checked out Justins and since everyone was celebrating St. Pattys Day it was SUPER packed. but still really fun. Also went to a bar called Kincades.

Day 262: March 15, 2013

went to dinner with “the girls”. I felt like sex in the city. We dont get to see each other that often, but when we do…. its always a blast! and we mostly just talk about boys :)

Day 261: March 14, 2013

HAPPY PI DAY!

in honor of pi day, Kate and I of course made Pies! they were delicious. We did not have a pie tin, so we made mini muffin pies, and mini tart pies. pumpkin and some chocolate mousse. (pictures WAY below)

As a park of AmeriCorps week, we did a repack session at GCFD with a bunch of other AmeriCorps. This was cool because we got to meet people doing different projects around the city. We labeled cans!

Day 258: March 11, 2013

Start the West Wing. Only finished one episode since Kate and I both had work to do and we weren’t very good at paying attention. We heard it was better to pay attention. So we will probably try watching more when Kate is done with her test.

Day 257: March 10, 2013

Finally went to the Caribou Coffee by my apartment. It was a perfect place to do some work. So also did work from home on my own time, I just hate getting behind on work. It was weird doing my work at home, but I am so glad I did.

Day 256: March 9, 2013

Went to Unofficial Chicago. I was surprised at how fun it was. Also have not day drank in awhile. Met friends at a new bar, but dont remember what bar it was.

Also made cod. I cannot remember if I have ever made  before, but I made it with bread chunks wine and onions. It was really good.

Day 255: March 8, 2013

Checked out the bar on the corner of my block, McGuigans. Went to watch the Hawks game, and see the closest bar to our apartment. It is a perfect little corner bar. Not too busy and crazy, but has good beers and is easy. More expensive than I wanted, but excellent otherwise.

Did my first workout in my new apartment. Nothing crazy since I dont know the people below me and didnt want to make too much noise. But did leg exercises, and muscle building from some routine I found on Tumblr or pinterest.

Day 253: March 6, 2013

Decided to make me Dad dinner for his birthday. His favorite is spaghetti with tomato sauce. So I made it slightly fancier. Homemade Turkey meatballs and homemade tomato sauce. Both were awesome with the spaghetti!

Day 252: March 5, 2013

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

Got to celebrate my half birthday at work, only cause I will potentially not be there for my real birthday. Tried a CCK lunch, mushroom burger, it was awesome. 

Also got Trader Joes Italian sausage and made mac and cheese with it. It was pretty good, but i really just love mac and cheese plain.

Day 251: March 4, 2013

Best part of having a roommate is when you get home sometimes they have dinner made that they are willing to share. This happened tonight, it was awesome. Kate made chicken and mushroom and onions. it was delicious. It has an official name, but I dont remember what it was.

Day 250: March 3, 2013

Went to the Mexican restaurant on the corner of my block. I thought it was a new restaurant, but I guess I had been there when I was little since it isnt that far from where I grew up.

Also made pork chops with a random sauce of stuff Stan had at his place.

Also since moving in with Kate, I will get to try like a ton of new wines. Tonight was the first of many.

Day 249: March 2, 2013

Used Movers to Move! What a great thing! It made the move SO much easier. 

Check out a new restaurant/bar and had a new beer - some light beer from Germany.
